₹1.35 Lakh Bribe Trap: Training Institute Principal Held in Meerut

Meerut: An anti-corruption operation in Meerut has led to the arrest of Vandana Singh, Principal of

the Cooperative Dairy Training & Research Institute, Partapur, after she was allegedly caught accepting ₹1.35 lakh in cash in connection with tender-related work and pending payments.

According to the information presented in the report, complainant Amit Siwach alleged that money had been demanded for continuation of his firm's tender and clearance of outstanding bills. Following the complaint, the Anti-Corruption Organisation reportedly verified the allegations and planned a trap operation.

A team led by Inspector Archana Singh subsequently reached the institute and conducted the operation. The principal was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting ₹1,35,000 and was taken into custody.
